THE STUDIO
A lifetime of experience.
Applied to every project.
Five America’s Cup design campaigns. Three Volvo Ocean Races. A depth of experience that reaches beyond the racecourse.
From the highest level of sailing.
To every vessel we touch.
Horacio Carabelli founded his yacht design studio after graduating as a mechanical engineer and naval architect. His work in racing and cruising yachts developed alongside a sailing career at the highest level.
His design experience spans Victory Challenge, Artemis Racing, Groupama Team France and two Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli campaigns. Three Volvo Ocean Races—including victory aboard Ericsson 4 in 2008–09—and Olympic sailing add a first-hand understanding of what a vessel demands at sea.
Today, Horacio and the studio bring that experience to racing teams, builders, owners and family offices. From one-design sailboats to individual cruising yachts, each brief is approached with technical rigour, independent thinking and direct personal attention.
FOUR DISCIPLINES. ONE STANDARD.
The full scope of our work.
Naval architecture, engineering and independent yacht advisory. The same rigour in every engagement.
01
Performance Sailboats
From grand prix campaigns to performance cruising. We bring the discipline of the racecourse to every hull, foil and sail plan.
02
Custom Yachts & Luxury Boats
A yacht should reflect its owner, without compromising its engineering. We develop unique vessels with a clear line from first sketch to sea trials.
03
Technology & Engineering
We work where marine technology is developed. Analysis, optimisation and structural understanding turn ambitious concepts into engineered solutions.
04
Luxury Market Consulting
Technical depth for the decisions that matter. We advise owners, buyers and sellers with discretion, from acquisition and sale through to delivery.
We take on selected engagements where our experience, personal involvement and the client’s ambition align.
